Over the past two weeks in Lyell-Otis, we’ve partnered with devoted caretakers to trap, vet, and care for free-roaming cats. Collaboration and steady commitment are key to curbing cat overpopulation.
With vet spots limited, we focus on the most vulnerable cats — females, kittens, and the sick or injured. In June, one friendly stray was reunited with her family thanks to a microchip, while others were fixed and made safe. So far this year, 232 cats have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated — a lifesaving effort made possible by our partners, caretakers, and donors.
