So happy to announce that we were selected to receive a matching grant by the Community Cats Grant Program administered through United Spay Alliance (@unitedspayalliance ). If we raise $2000 with our Kitten-Free Zone fundraiser between now and August 25th, we’ll receive an additional $2000 from United Spay Alliance. How amazing is that?
Donate $50 to sponsor a community cat’s spay/neuter, vaccines, parasite treatment and microchip and we’ll send you a “Thank You” snapshot of the kitty who now bears your first name. Sponsored cats will come from one of three distinct “target” areas of the city within the 14608, 14609 and 14615 zip codes.
Over the past two years, we’ve collected information about the cats and the caretakers in these target areas and we’ll follow these sponsored cats as they go about their lives after “the big fix”. In addition to TNR, we’ll be distributing our door hangers, posting flyers, speaking to the community, finding local cat advocates, and getting the word out about what TNR is and its many benefits for cats and the community. We must prevent litters of kittens in order to have more resources for the many homeless cats and kittens who need our help. Starting in these three areas will help us pave the way for the next target zones.
Sponsor a cat, spread the word about our fundraiser, and stay tuned for more info. Help us reach our $2000 goal! Link to donate here!
