TNR has many benefits for cats and the community. What makes us the happiest? Finding the adoptable cats and getting updates from adopters once these cats are settled in to their warm and loving homes.
Over 200 cats and kittens who entered our traps did not go back to the streets this year. Thank you rescue partners for taking in friendlies when space permitted. And thank you adopters for giving our beautiful cats a second chance.

Many kind people care for Rochester’s large homeless cat population. Besides food and water, they provide warm shelter and are on the lookout for new cats so they can be spayed or neutered and evaluated for proper placement.
Not surprisingly, June was our busiest month so far this year. We trapped (or scooped up) 70 felines and met many new colony caretakers.
Sweet Abi, a gentle soul from a block with more than 25 cats, fell asleep at the vet yesterday. Abi shed light on an area we hadn’t known about—where several litters of kittens and many kind neighbors are struggling to keep up. Since then, we’ve spayed five females, placed kittens in foster care, and secured more spay/neuter appointments with the help of our rescue partners. There’s still much to do, but Abi’s story is a powerful reminder that spay/neuter is the only way to give these cats safer, healthier lives—and your support makes it possible.
