Stabilizing cat populations requires that ALL cats — ferals, strays, and indoor/outdoor pets — are spayed and neutered. Friendly collared cats don’t need our trapping skills but they do need to be fixed.

Talking to the community about the benefits of spay/neuter and the serious problem of cat overpopulation is as important as fixing the ferals. Giving info about low-cost spay/neuter, providing transportation, loaning carriers, subsidizing the cost — we have done all of this. In poor neighborhoods, where we spend most of our time, there are just too many hurdles to jump and a little help can go a long way.
