Stabilizing cat populations requires that ALL cats — ferals, strays, and indoor/outdoor pets — are spayed and neutered. Friendly collared cats don’t need our trapping skills but they do need to be fixed.
Many kind people care for Rochester’s large homeless cat population. Besides food and water, they provide warm shelter and are on the lookout for new cats so they can be spayed or neutered and evaluated for proper placement.
We’re gearing up for several big spay/neuter days in addition to our ongoing TNR efforts, and we’re in need of hard-sided cat carriers in good to excellent condition. If you’ve got one you don’t need, we’d love to give it a second life!
