Fifty six (56!) cats and kittens spent time in our holding space in August.
Our Work
Every so often we are asked to trap a cat who has been left behind in a house. After a lot of time being scared and hissing, with a lot of love and patience, we can pet him! He is such a special cat.
In July, we trapped, picked up, netted, or corralled into carriers 46 felines both cats and kittens. Sometimes climbing into holes or under porches.
June was another busy month for our volunteer trappers. We helped a total of 58 cats and kittens in the city of Rochester. Many of the 42 “big” cats were returned to their kind feeders who watch out for them every day. These cats have now retired from the kitten-making business.
We TNR’d 27 cats and rescued 21 kittens from the city streets. This brings the 2022 total to 123 cats and 35 kittens.
Trapping day! Four cuties on their way to be fixed!
Trapping a tuxedo mom and her three kittens.
When starting trapping we always make some mistakes and need all the help we can.
Everyone who traps went through this situation more than once… You are ready to pack everything up, suddenly, out of nowhere, there’s a cat looking at you all curious!
